As a new homeowner, one of the most exciting (and also most stressful) parts of moving in is choosing furniture. We actually delayed this decision till the very end — furniture was literally the last thing we bought for the house. With two kids and a smaller home, we wanted to live in the space a little first to get a real feel of how much room we had, instead of ending up with bulky pieces that would cramp up our living area.
I considered Taobao at one point, but I’ve had friends whose furniture didn’t even last a year before breaking… and sometimes the pieces that arrived looked nothing like the pictures. My siblings suggested going to Malaysia (since there are good deals there), but without a car and with two young kids at home, it just wasn’t practical. So, Singapore furniture hunt it was.
That’s when I discovered Loft Home — a one-stop furniture store that works directly with original factories. No middleman, no inflated pricing. Just stylish, high-quality pieces at honest prices, delivered straight to your door.
Their showroom at 5 Gambas Cres, Nordcom I, Singapore 757036 was such a gem of a find.
Walking Through the 3-Storey Showroom
Loft Home’s showroom spans three levels, and honestly, walking through felt like flipping through a Pinterest board in real life.
1st Floor: Dining Inspiration
This floor is dedicated to dining tables and chairs. The star pieces here were definitely their sintered stone dining tables — sleek, modern, and surprisingly practical. Their new series with Scandinavian wooden legs caught my eye. Not only are they beautiful, they’re also heat, scratch, and stain resistant — basically, kid-proof and mum-proof. Perfect for families like mine where food spills and hot pots are an everyday thing.
2nd Floor: Living Room Comfort
Moving up, the second floor was all about sofas, coffee tables, and TV consoles. There was a wide range — from affordable, ready-to-go pieces to premium sofas where you can customise colour, fabric, and design.
3rd Floor: Sweet Dreams
The top floor was dedicated to bed frames and mattresses. I liked how they offered a good mix of modern minimalist designs and classic looks, with some clever storage options tucked in.
Throughout all the floors, I also noticed smart cabinet and shelving solutions — perfect for maximising space without cluttering up the home.
What Makes Loft Home Stand Out
- Sintered Stone Dining Tables – Stylish, durable, and functional. With different leg styles to choose from, they fit easily into different décor themes.
- Flexible Choices – Whether you’re furnishing on a budget or looking for premium, customizable pieces, Loft Home has options that scale with your needs.
- Unique Designs – You won’t find cookie-cutter furniture here. Their curation makes your home look distinct, not like a copy-paste of a catalogue.
My Personal Experience
The showroom staff were approachable and knowledgeable — friendly without being pushy. They won’t hover around so you can take your time to walk through the different levels, and I never once felt pressured.
Delivery was smooth and punctual too, which is a lifesaver when you’re already juggling reno timelines and kids.
Here’s what we ended up with:
My sintered stone dining table #1 Matt Snow Mountain
We customised the texture and colour, and it turned out perfect for our space. We chose Matt Snow Mountain instead of black or grey like our sintered stone counter top so that it makes the dining area feel a little more spacious. The uncluttered aesthetic also contributes to a more airy and voluminous perception of a room. The table instantly elevated the look of our dining area, and I love that I don’t have to worry about hot dishes or stains.
Customised dining chairs
We decided to go with five chairs instead of six (yes, an odd number!) because of space constraints — as Peps wanted the corner near the wall to be walkable. This made milk-making at night less of an hassle as we can access the water point by cutting through there. We used PU material so that it last longer, and there were so many colours that we can mix and match on the outside and inside. We used black for the sitting cushion as we have kids and any spillage will not stain the chair too much! Grey on the outside, because it fits the monochrome theme!
Our cozy fabric sofa bed
Comfortable but structured, this sofa has become the centre of our living room. It’s not the typical sofa most people would have at home (because of the lack of backing) but Peps want it accessible from both sides should we choose to place it in the middle of our room. The neutral tone fits right in with the rest of our home, and it’s one of those pieces that looks good and feels good.
Final Thoughts
Loft Home ended up being exactly what we needed — a one-stop showroom with a thoughtful balance of quality, style, and affordability. If you’re furnishing a new home and want pieces that feel a little more personal than the mass-market options, I highly recommend checking them out.
